In this swiftwater canyoning module you will learn all the skills and techniques to keep you safe in a moderate risk canyon. This module combines elements from other modules to specifically cover swiftwater canyoning.
This module is included in the Canyoning Level 2 course.
In this module we look at the theory of swiftwater, understanding features and the basic principles of moving around in swiftwater. From ferry swimming to river crossing, equipment management to duck diving this module encompasses all the elements you will need to be efficient and safe in a swiftwater canyon environment.
This module also covers rescue techniques and principles. Learn how to manage a rescue in water, self rescue and rescue a teammate. This module is designed to give you the best practice and knowledge for exploring swiftwater canyons. This module is designed for canyoneers with limited experience in swiftwater or for those of you who want to gain more confidence and understanding in a swiftwater canyoning environment.

There is so. much. content! Its definitely the most comprehensive canyoning (or any outdoor sport for that matter) program I've seen online. Probably the best virtual/non instructor lead learning out there. A variety of photos, videos and written explanations along with recap quizzes and knowledge checks along the way. If you can’t get out and practice, then just log in and learn from the arm chair. I’d recommend this for anyone looking at getting out canyoning but also anyone who ventures outside as it’s great knowledge to have. Well done V7, what a great resource!
Amazing set up. Great for all learning types, easy to start and stop and pick up where you left off with constant reminders to cement your understanding. The biggest win for me is how fun it is. I feel so much more confident for my next Canyoning trip (as very much a beginner) and excited to be able to progress in time away from the canyons. [...] I can’t recommend this highly enough!!!
